    bah I hate it when I have to wear these stupid glasses, my eyelashes are so freaking long and constantly brush against the lenses. Talk about distracting.

    Yeah, they're just very long by default. It can be pretty annoying. Not just the glasses, it happens with my VR headset as well.

    Back now, a bit early. Well, most of the holiday stuff is done for me, fortunately. Kept decently active over the past couple of weeks. More energy lately.

    I think I gotta step away from here for awhile. Spending too much time checking and clicking, and that is NOT helping me break bad habits. I'm getting better, much better, at resisting the urge to scroll (Youtube) and stupid things like that, but it's not enough yet. Gotta push harder. Have a good holiday, everyone!

    Assembling a thing, lots of acrylic pieces, and I wonder: What moron had the idea of putting... ahem... """""protective""""" plastic on every piece? Once I'm done getting any given thing's plastic off, it looks like it had a fight with a particularly insane cat. The cat both won and lost at the same time. That doesnt make sense, but neither does that plastic.

    I'm equally experiencing needless anxiety over re-sealable plastic wrapping of cheese products, where suddenly most of them are terribly difficult to pull apart and reuse without damaging them and leaving cheese to quickly become stale. o_O

    I dont know how anyone does digital drawing without going utterly mad. "Gonna give it another try" I said. 20 minutes later: "this thing cost like $1000. I think it's worth about $10, the stupid heap". Never should have bought that stupid iPad. May or may not have thrown it at the floor again. Pencils & paper all the way, thanks.

    And lastly... it's an Apple device. So it's extremely limited in terms of what's even available for it. Apple wants it on their store or you cant use it at all. I end up barely using the thing, because it doesnt DO anything.

    Is it still working after hitting floors and walls a few times? Sell it on Ebay "slightly used". Not for the money but for peace of mind. :)

    It's basically in an indestructible case. Not because of throwing it, but because of how I'm a klutz. My big Android phone (which has no real problems to complain about) fell on the jagged slate floor the other day after I tripped over the dog. It's in a similar case, so instead of exploding, it just bounced. Cant imagine using these without a case.

    Chronic pain gets real old, real fast. That being said... even with the pain I feel a lot better when I'm constantly *doing* things instead of watching stupid nonsense on Youtube. It's getting easier to resist that.

    Sadly, "better" usually doesnt really go along with chronic pain. There's low pain (the default), high pain, and "having trouble moving". Something always hurts at least somewhat.

    Robot thing #2 in the middle of being built. When finished it will either A: lay dominoes, or B: explode. Also how does anyone frequently work with really tiny screws without totally losing their mind? This time I'm not doing it all in one night.

    I'm so freaking tired of accounts for everything, passwords, confirmation numbers, stupid debit cards, stupid special wacky numbers on those cards, confirmation emails that arent received properly, having to change a password because it had no hieroglyphs in it... uuuuugh. I miss just using cash for things and having exactly one account (AOL). I totally didnt just launch a card at the monitor.

    A fractal object being worked on. I'm not entirely sure where I'm going with this one or how it's going to be used. This editor is specifically designed to make the 3D ones. Dealing with the 2D ones involves a variety of other programs.

    Got my hands on some new bizarre (and expensive) rendering software. I'm not even going to try to explain what in the world is going on here. It's not a fractal, but it's not a polygonal object either. Powerful stuff though. I can do a lot with this. Though it takes even longer to render than my fractals do. I need more power.

    Took a few hours, this was a tough one. And then like 45 minutes for the final render. As for the island, I havent been there in a couple of years. We sold the place down there actually, because of too many hurricane threats. That was barely before the island did get smashed up a bit.

    Though the real reason I havent been there in awhile is because of an odd fear of airports and such. Not sure where that came from. I feel like I can do it now though, so we might do a trip down there at a rental soon like how we used to.

    The area l lived in was hit pretty hard. Bradenton Beach area looks new again, you can see the beach now as so many trees and plants are gone from the main drive out to longboat key.

    This one took a while to do. Might not look like it but this is a 3D object. PC darn near exploded during that render. Then a little bit of Photoshop magic, and there ya go.

    Step 1: Wake up middle of the night with nose itch. Step 2: frustration at this. Step 3: flail in direction of tissue box and angrily grab tissue. Step 4: blow really freaking hard. Step 5: liquid all over face. Step 6: uh oh. Later in the day step 7 will be: wash bedsheets and pillowcase. Also, freaking HYDRATE.

    Just as an experiment, you might purchase a box of adhesive nasal strips. See if they keep your nasal passages relatively open while you sleep. For me and my allergies it was quite a revelation that something so simple helps.

    Tiny teaser of a major project I started today. I've never tried something like this before and it is likely to take a few weeks. Also it's hard to get a proper "flashlight" effect in this fractal app. An unlit version of this same image also exists.

    Art thing #2. Both this and the last one were created out of the same initial fractal image. Now my neck & back hurt, that's enough for today I think. Arms hurt too, because why not.
