What is it so interesting you look at on YouTube that it attracts you so much? Like I have music, gameplay videos, some animal documentaries. It's fun but I can always just close it and do smth else, I dunno.

Guilty as charged. Though I find I'm slowly learning to control the algorithm by not clicking out of curiosity alone. Saves me a lot of time in not waiting and waiting for an content or an answer that never comes based on a tagline alone.

The algorithm controls most of us almost 100%, but it still gives you the illusion of control. Basically you choose out of the emotionally manipulative slop it offers.
I used to have an app that blocked all the comments, suggested videos, thumbnails, home pages. It made YouTube completely blank. I was at a loss at what to do, it broke the spell completely. There's always a price with 'free' content.

Has happened to me. Sometimes15 minutes on the internet end up being 3 hours. The worst part, is that if I had set to spend 3 hours watching something, I would have been watching anime or a movie. It feels like wasted time because it wasn't planned and couldn't make the best possible use of that time.
