    I like dogs, but I shouldn't have to clean up the "items" it leaves around (the dog in question belongs to somebody else; I wish I knew who).

    You could always put a sign that tells people to clean up after their dog and that they are on camera... I live in a big city where there are fines for not cleaning up after dogs and see signs everywhere. They seem to help

    As a dog owner, it feels so wrong to leave poop in plain sight in public spaces.

    When I go to popular dog places and see people do that, I have extra poop bags to give out and say, “Oh, it looks like you need a bag. Here, I have an extra one.”

    Cats do seem less demanding. Though they can also be more aloof from humans.

    I've had both as pets in the past. Enjoyed them all.

    Me and my cat were pretty much always together. People were surprised that a cat could be so "clingy". Cats tend to be more independent than dogs I think, maybe they can be more aloof, but if you want them to be, they can be just as loyal as dogs in my opinion. Thing is, you can't really take your cat with you when you go out, if that's important to you, a dog might be better. Either way pets are wonderful :-)

    I actually have a book someone gave me on my birthday many years ago about all the famous people on earth sharing the same date. I found it amusing.

    I wonder if autistics have a stronger inclination towards designs and architecture.

    Design would go along with pattern recognition but architecture might be too large scale for many of us though there are probably exceptions.

    There's a standard Aussie line - "Toughen up, Princess!". Not always appropriate but surprisingly effective.

    Find a quiet, dark place.
    Use my headphones.
    Pull my hat over my eyes.
    Stay near my dog.
    Breathe deep and fall asleep.

    It's cyclical, here. *Warm up and rain, cool off.* In the winter it's *warm up and snow, cool off.* Rain this time of year happens, but it isn't good.

    I think weather fluctuations aren't entirely random.
    There is a pattern, even though it may be rapid.

    Apparently, the cute otter had ancestors that were the size of lions, and may have hunted our ancestors. I will never look at the otter the same again.

    The closest ancient ancestor of the orangutan, the gigantopithecus, was about over twice the size of an adult human, but is believe to be a gentle giant by some.

    Prehistoric rhinos (paraceratherium) look a lot like small brachiosauruses. I wonder if rhinos have a relation with giraffes.

    Bizarre looking thing. A bit horsey too. I heard that Sometimes things evolve parallel to each other, serve the same function, yet have no link. Apparently there are few different types of eyes that all separately.evolved

    While both rhinos and giraffes are ungulates, any relation is very remote since the former are perissodactyls and the latter are artiodactyls.
