    Alice in Wonderland Syndrome

It's good your experiences with it are kept private in the safety of your own bed.

    Alice in Wonderland Syndrome

It may not be part of AIW but i too experience what you have. It never hits me how big i am till i see myself in a reflection while standing with someone else. When our class ordered senior rings i had anxiety all year that my ring was going to be smaller than everyone else's. i was...

    Alice in Wonderland Syndrome

i've lived with all my life, so it's not really a life changing, horrible experience. But it does set me back on my heels when my blood starts racing and i'm trying to stand up for myself while being so small. It comes out of nowhere so fast that i know i'm not small, but i am at that moment...

    Alice in Wonderland Syndrome

i just want to say that finding this site and reading everyone's experiences has helped me deal with my own issues greatly. i don't always respond due to the constraints of time, but you all are amaizing. So, i ran across a syndrome that people experience where their environment or they...

    Have you written a screenplay?

I’ve written three comedy shorts. Two turned out great… one not so much. With many comedy short scripts still in the oven that need to be fleshed out.

    I am Bloor

i’ve been asked to pick up a fallen earring and I almost want to barf at the thought. No, no, no. It may be weird but I won’t do it.

    I am Bloor

i, too, find jewelry distasteful. On me or anyone else. When around it i have to work very hard to hide my physical revulsion if it. i keep it at arm’s distance and try to avoid it visually.

What would your life have been if you weren't autistic?

Intereseting question. Would i have the skills and abilities i have if not for autism and ADHD? Yet because of the autism and ADHD i cannot effectively market and captialize off of my skills. It's a catch 22.

I wish my hands were better

Osteoarthritis here. Limited opposable thumb. Turn my hands into nothing more than paws. Which is rather ironic and applicable. That vertical mouse looks like a good find. Thanks!

    Not feeling wanted anywhere

i grew up the same way. Small town. i was the butt of jokes and treated awfully by others for being different, out there, a geek, and just being a generally out of touch person. i graduated and moved. i thought this was my chance to start over with people who will probably get me...

    Hiding it with alcohol?

Nothing works like alcohol for me either. i try other things, but the next day is horribly unproductive.

    Hiding it with alcohol?

Liver. Health concerns. I’m healthy as hell physically. But my continued use for same conditions concerns me. Moderation is best. But drinking like AC and me leaves cause for concern. Something to always consider.

Does this happen to anyone else?

You should feel uncomfortable. But you should also be glad that they are talking about it rather than doing it which means there may be other options to address their issues. Possibly you feel uncomfortable because you take on the responsibility to fix them, or prevent them from self harm. This...

    Self Advocacy

i have given your post much thought, Neonatal RRT. i have never considered myself cowardly. And you would be hard pressed to find someone to claim that i was not assertive in most of my working career. (How i managed to become assertive is another story.) In fact, i got whisked along the fast...
