    Low Mood

hi I was diagnosed about 4 years ago with aspergers. Last Christmas had a bit of a meltdown and things were pretty bad. At that point my doctor prescribed me Prozac to help with low mood and anxiety. Things have been so much better since, until yesterday. Must stress though it wasn't too bad...

Yes by my wife on a daily basis.

    Car Park

This is something I just can't get my head round! Why do people do this? Happens all the time, you pick a space in middle of nowhere in the car park and someone always parks beside you! What are these people thinking?

    Sense of humour.

Very dry and sarcastic. At work I'm well known for my endless puns. Can be very immature for a 43 yr old man.

    Car Park

I drive my wife mad. Always end up looking for a double space. I hate trying to squeeze between two cars when i can park where there plenty of space.

Driving and Being on the Spectrum

I've been driving for about 20yrs. I'm now 43. I loved it until a few months ago. As i get older I find it is becoming more frustrating and therefore less enjoyable. I drive to work everyday and that is increasingly stressful.

    Temperature sensitivity

I get too hot. I much prefer feeling cool. My wife attends a group for people with partners on the spectrum. She has been told by the support staff that people on the spectrum tend to have problems controlling body temperature.

    Trouble following movies

When watching movies, or many TV shows for that matter, we have regular breaks. Every 10 mins I'm pausing the TV to ask my wife to confirm what's going on!

    Low mood

Sorry only posting this I think to vent my frustration today. Got really annoyed with 16 yr old son yesterday and hardly spoken to him since. He's a good kid, not a bad bone in his body, but I'm getting frustrated with his teenager attitude! Always late for school and no consideration for...

    Quiet corners at work

My office can get really noisy. I can also contribute to that! When things get too much I do find a quieter area to work. Don't have to very often but my employer Understands that is a requirement on odd occasion.

    Birthdays

Not really. Had Chinese takeout for dinner with my wife and daughter. Had some birthday wishes on Facebook and text and it was an effort to acknowledge. I would have been equally unhappy if people had ignored it! Today is about trying to build bridges with my wife.

    Birthdays

Well today is my birthday. The problem I have is every year I look forward to it, as most people do. Unfortunately for as many years as I can remember when it arrives I seem to enter a very low mood. I don't want any fuss and don't ask for much. I don't like or want surprises. The problem is on...

    Occupational Health

Yeah that's what I've been doing recently. It does help to a degree. Still got to be able to hear the telephone ringing!
