How or When do you stim?

When I was much younger I would flap my hands around or clap my wrists together when I got excited. I rarely do anything like that now, unless I am extremely frustrated with a situation and alone. It took some work to get to that point, though.

Who diagnosed you and why ?

I was diagnosed with AS when I was ten. I remember my mother taking me to a children's hospital, where I talked to a couple of doctors and played a simple game on the computer to test my reaction time. After that, everyone was like "Yeah, he has Asperger's Syndrome" and that was about it. I...

    Ancient mythology

I've been interested in mythology ever since I was given a book of Greek myths (in comic book form) as a child. Since then I've dabbled in other mythologies; mostly Norse/Germanic, but also Egyptian, Celtic, Mesoamerican and the myriad of Asian ones. I was facinated by that stuff as a kid...

How many people know you have Aspergers?

My immediate family and most of my extended family are aware of my diagnosis, along with every psychiatrist and therapist I've ever had. Aside from that, I only mention my condition to others, if the topic somehow comes up. Most people don't make a big deal about it, because I've learned to hide...

Have you ever been madly in love?

I'm not sure if I've ever truly been in love. I've certainly had crushes on certain women (a few bad ones too; bad crushes, not women), but acting on those never ended well. I think that once or twice I've managed to sort of hit it off with a girl I liked and become comfortable enough to just...

Not Into Drinking, Smoking And Drugs

I hear you, Penguin. I don't like beer at all, though I will have some champagne if it's a special occasion (like a wedding). I don't smoke because I have enough strikes against my long-term health as it is (I'm overweight, don't get enough exercise, AND I'm a pessimist), and it's an expensive...
