    Playing the Aspie Card

Not ever. I'm fact I think doing that hurts those of us who don't because then people think we are just using it as an excuse. Not in all cases, mind you but that's why I am very very very very hesitant to play that card. I'd rather just leave a situation or whatever without explanation than...

Do You Hide Your Intelligence When You Meet "Normal" People?

Nope. Not for anyone. I do act differently around different people but never my intelligence.

    Timekeeping and Being Late

I feel extreme anxiety when I am late and hate when others are late as well! I almost have an internal clock and just know what time it is.

How has being diagnosed with AS impacted your life?

Mine has gotten much better because now I understand myself/my life and what I've been through, so much better. I finally understand why I never fit in and always felt like an alien despite my best attempts at acting normal. I don't see it as a terrible thing- I've always had AS and always will-...

So, I've recently read this and I have to ask?

Nope we just learn ways to fake being normal and scripts for social situations.

    Extremely Secretive

Yesssss!!! I hate it when people go through my stuff! And I do think it is a territory thing! It's not that I have anything bad- it's that it is my stuff and if I want people to go through it or read it, then I'll give them permission to do that. Until then, I expect my stuff to be left alone!

    Are you NOT taking medication?

I am not taking any prescription medications because I have no co-morbidities. As my mother was addicted to drugs, I would not want to take them anyway. That's just me, obviously but in response to your question, no.

    Does my partner have Aspergers?

I've already posted on this but I've had a few days to think about it. I think that it is definitely a good idea not to "confront" him about it. I do think it would be a good idea to discuss the possibility with him though. From my own experiences, I have changed dramatically (for the good)...

Three little known facts about you?

What are three facts about you that very few (or no one) knows? Mine would be: I'm only afraid of people and the depravity of which humanity is capable I drive a stick shift (manual) car on a daily basis I have seven siblings and only see one on a regular basis. What about you guys?

How to know if my aspie fwb wants more?

Not necessarily. Especially if he thinks that he'll lose what he currently has with you if he were mention any feelings he may have. Has he ever made any indication that he may have feelings? Or even better, how did your fwb relationship start? That would give me a better idea of your dynamic.

    Third Person Speaking

Does it help with looking at things more neutrally? I always tend to get caught up in drama or scary things and an wanting a way to decrease that. Thought thinking of things from 3rd person would help.

Getting students to new ASD group?

NothingToSeeHere: I wasn't sure how I could do that. My contact information would be the first listed at the bottom. But I was thinking the whole 'for us, by us' would help .... Also I've given permission for the faculty leader to give out my name and diagnosis to possible students interested...
