  • I find it hard to believe one of my coworkers from New Jersey (it’s a Jersey thing!) used to have a manager named Mr. Mackey. I thought I was hallucinating first time I heard that!
I get scared 24/7 that I misinterpret the tone of a post somebody posts online (usually YouTube and not here)
wowwww I’ve posted over 600 times here

I'm getting close to 2000 and I've only been here a few months. But I always did talk a lot. :)
the urge to look at my ex friends art has kinda gone away now that I’m trying to diverge my own art style from theirs

Maybe it's just me, but I've found that diverging from other styles is the toughest part. Like, there's just this sort of automatic tendency to try to mimic styles someone else uses, and that can make it harder to improve.

What do you want your own art style to be
omg I remember during the days of quarantine being on over 6000 Facebook groups and some having “odd” rules like no dirty deleting (deleting a post since nobody agrees with OP)

Another group I was in was themed around animal crossing and you couldn’t say the name of a villager (Molly) because it was slang for a drug, or weed/weeds, mush, shrooms. Facebook’s removal policy is so bad sometimes, they let p0rn bots and pedos roam free

    Six thousand fb groups.

I think this exceeds my ability to imagine.
I should draw a new pfp for myself (current one is made with an avatar maker called SP Studio by Janina

I'm afraid to go near mine... kind of embarrassing but I actually hid it...
Another weird question for any artists (that primarily use color pencils). Do you think the Caran D’Ache color pencils are worth the high price tag? I have used prismacolors (wax based) and faber castell polychromos (oil based)? I put a small 20 set of Luminance color pencils on my Amazon wish list that I may test out in the future.
Weird question to ask but has anybody seen Passion of the Christ? I only know of the film because my friend likes it and because of a South Park episode with that movie playing a major plot point in the story. I don’t have any really strong religous beliefs, but i do believe in the afterlife and the existence of god(s).

There are other older films about Christ without all the gratuitous, intense violence that Mel Gibson's "Passion Of The Christ" offers. Not a film I ever want to see again.

Once was enough. Seeing such a portrayal of a gentle and kind soul savagely beaten and tortured just wasn't my "cup of tea". And then he was crucified! Yeah, it got to me. My bad. See Jeffrey Hunter in "King of Kings" instead.

I have heard that it is a genuinely good film for those into cinema even if they aren't into the god stuff, but I'm not a movie buff, especially if they are violent. I do like the idea of his last temptation in a narrative sense. I think more fiction could take inspiration from it.
