  • Is this a banana or a potato at the bottom? I have no idea. Maybe AI created it?

What difference would it make, one or the other?

No AI required. Just indifference on the part of whomever likely took an existing graphic who was in a hurry to fill an empty space to give the overall imagery some balance. Or what I'd call "filler". Not important enough to emphasize whatever is on the bottom of the metal basket given that it is only partially exposed. The most important object being the cellphone required in order to become a member.
Is it just me or do some of the things on this kitchen counter look photoshopped?

AI could be involved. Maybe someone had the pictures and asked AI to combine them into a single image and the AI treated them like cardboard cutouts. They certainly look like they've been photographed with lighting to minimise shadows and the rest of the image has quite strong shadows, as if lit from the left.

Even old versions of Photoshop you can globally direct light to cast shadows in the same direction on all objects. Though I know others like myself tend to use alternate methods that can result in such errors if one isn't detail-oriented. I suspect much newer functions are likely to be much easier in comparison.

If I was the head of an advertising agency, I would embrace AI and use it as much as possible. 🤔 I could cut costs and quadruple the earnings and then some. So I'm guessing that the advertising industry is all-in on AI.
Welp, I may have to close down art trades and art commissions for a bit as I got an order in for an art commission that the client wants due by December. I have enough time to do it and I will start work on it once payment is provided.
Am I seeing things or is something off about these caramel apples and yogurt parfait with raspberries on top of it?

Maybe it was made with AI? 🤔 Artificial intelligens often makes pictures look a little 'off'. I think the apples look suspicious. I imagine the advertising industry can save a lot of money and time if they can make pics and video of products with AI.
Is it just me or did a photoshop fail occur on the hands holding a bag of candy that’s being poured into a bowl?

I think they pointlessly used a white boarder on a white background which doesn't make any logical sense, lol

To me, it just looks like the horizontal food item is less than perfectly
cylindrical, so the part near the glass shows a slight gap/airspace
    underneath it.

If that's what you're asking about.

The most critical part of the two wraps is that all the components cast a shadow in the same direction. Giving it the appearance that its simply resting on top of the other wrap. Not "floating" at all. The wrap on top may be more perfectly round, but that doesn't imply it's "floating". Food objects aren't usually created- or expected to be symmetrically perfect. I'd say much more but can't on a profile post.

@Judge my mind went to the taco because it’s being held weirdly in an unrealistic way

Well, it did prompt me to decide to make tacos for dinner tonight. :)

Sometimes I think graphic artists operate like movie directors. That they think their audience will never notice their shortcomings. :(

The taco is being held the way that you would do it if you wanted people to be able to see as much of it as possible. It's not the way that a person would naturally hold it to eat, but it's not floating.

I am fortunate to live among fruit growers and one of the varieties that is excellent is the Elberta, freestone peach. Picked some up on a bike ride and had enough room in my rack pack for a dozen.

I got OBS up and running. If you know your way around the software, please comment here or send me a message to give me tips on how to use the program.

@jsilver256 learn how to navigate OBS properly. I found an editing software for free as well from the Microsoft App Store.

Well, I meant, what do you want to do with OBS? I know the basics of setting up a virtual camera, but I don't now how to use the fancier features.
Someone on Facebook reached out to me last month asking me to commission them when I don’t have the budget to do so. I sent over $5 before they wanted $75 more from me. Is this a scam? They specified $5 at first and then wanted $75 more. I’m gonna respond with after I get my pay raise in August or maybe winter break. I had another offer of the same tactic but the person wanting almost $1300 from me.

No $$ to online strangers who ask for it ever. If you have sought out someone's products or services to purchase, still beware, but do not ever give $$ when you are solicited for it.

If you don't understand that transactions that you're involved in, at least not without trusted guidance, you should not engage in this.
Just read a news article about a 15 year old autistic high school student that was duct taped to a chair by school staff as a “joke” according to the staff that did the horrendous action.
