    Ours are aluminium with a wooden surround. The wood on one is rotten to the point I can see daylight in one corner.

    Problem with pvc is the rubber ?trim that meets\covers the glass and frame starts to erode, the plastic gets stained and the window fitters!, that presumably fitted them in this house ,werent ultra tidy about the glue to hold the frame in ,so thats open to erosion

    It's a UK MET office warning Uberscout. According to the forecast where I am the gusts will be up to 64mph. Other places it could hit 100mph.

    Yes it was dangerous in n.e england Monday night just after a plain Indian curry went inside me!the next morning there would be a red warning from the MET office

    It isn't an isolated incident. It has happened many times to me and always if I act it triggers something negative. Had one a couple of weeks ago where the dream was getting into a big argument with Dad... I stayed quiet and nothing happened. I wish it did this with lottery numbers ;).

    You might also consider putting a distro of Linux on your father's laptop. Amazing to see it run so well on older hardware platforms. Had no problem putting Linux Mint 20.2 on this system on another SSD.

    So if I don't have a newer computer when Windows 10 support runs out, no big deal. In fact on Linux I can run some Windows apps that Windows 10 won't run at all! LOL

    If they fix the wifi and sound drivers so they actually work properly (and have the full suite of tweaks that you get with Wind'ohs) I'll give Linux another try.

    My mam(mum,mom)bought a b grade(slight imperfection) microwave it worked well until!I! put the wrong fibre container in given up use halogen or gas now

    We tend to use things until they finally die for good. The oven does a better (and more time-accurate) job most of the time. Like the halogen idea, that I hadn't seen before.

    Yeah, not keen on being too hot. I like the look of south island New Zealand. Having a view of mountains out my window is a dream.
