I have to give up my maths course, because I have a learning disability!

I've always been exceptionally terrible at math. I was placed in a course called Math Applications in high school after my trigonometry teacher noticed how horribly I struggled with equations and formulas. That kind of stuff never clicked with me.

Depressed About Still Being a Virgin

Hey, guys. Sorry I haven't visited the thread in such a long time. I want to thank you all for your advice and concern; it means the world to me:) I guess as an Aspie I've always wanted to fit in with my peers. I perceive losing my virginity as something of a male rite of passage, and deep down...

Depressed About Still Being a Virgin

Yeah, I'm not particularly eager to have sex. It just seems primal and gross to me. But I still want to experience it at least.

Depressed About Still Being a Virgin

That actually makes me feel a lot better. I wish more people were as compassionate as you are about the subject. Thanks.

Depressed About Still Being a Virgin

In as much as one doesn't have to think intrusive thoughts or succumb to years of societal pressure. Your advice is pragmatic and sensible, but it's tragically undermined by the flaws of human cognition. Still, I appreciate your willingness to help.

Depressed About Still Being a Virgin

I'm twenty-two and I've never had sex. Still being a virgin is a frequent source of distress for me. Sometimes I get so depressed over it that I can't function, which is especially problematic since I'm a college student. It makes me feel like such a beta loser. I've been told not to give the...

    I Think I've Become a Gynophobe

Dying alone is one of my biggest fears. It's something I've tried making peace with, but I can't do it, no matter how hard I try. I wish I could just be content with living in a nice apartment by myself with a pet of some sort.

    I Think I've Become a Gynophobe

I currently attend college, so I'm around women almost every day. I'll say things like "thanks" and "you're welcome" out of civility, but I'll rarely engage in casual conversation with them. It's not out of bitterness or arrogance (though it may come off as such); I'm just terrified of being...

Anyone with a Mom on the spectrum?

I suspect I inherited my Asperger's from my mom. She has this very juvenile, girlish demeanor that isn't typical of women her age (she turned fifty this year). That's not to say adults without Asperger's can't be childlike at heart, but she seems...excessively so. She was also the last of her...

    I Think I've Become a Gynophobe

The title pretty much says it all. I've been a hopeless romantic since I was a little kid, but every girl I've ever tried to get to know has either rejected me or flaked on me. In recent years, I've developed a deep-seated fear of not only women but females in general, even those of animals and...

My mom says that autistic adults don’t have the same rights as non autistic adults.

Well, I say toe the line for now. Pleasing your mother is just a means to an end at this point.

My mom says that autistic adults don’t have the same rights as non autistic adults.

A potentially sensitive question, but how are your personal finances? Are you still covered under your mother's insurance plans?

My mom says that autistic adults don’t have the same rights as non autistic adults.

Manipulative people tend to be very self-righteous and delusional. I personally know several who each have his/her own primitive, sociopathic notions about humanity. They often cite the principles of Darwinism as an excuse for their prejudices ("Disabled people should all die because natural...

    Greetings

I enjoy night lighting as well, but there's just something about fluorescent lighting that helps me channel my inner peace. Some time ago my friend and I smoked in a parking garage that was illuminated solely by fluorescent lights. It was almost midnight, and rain was coming down hard, though of...

    Greetings

My username is just a hyperbole. I don't actually hate math, and I certainly don't view people who prefer math over E.L.A. as inferior or antagonistic. To be honest, I wish I were better with numbers than words. Mathematicians are far more valuable members of society than writers in my humble...
