    Psychiatry (anti)

Not all medication is addictive, yes by definition they are drugs but they are not all addictive drugs and you can stop them at any time (some need tapering) a psychiatrists job is to listen and treat, the good ones, and the majority are not just pill shilling machines

    Psychiatry (anti)

my first psychiatrist was an overworked, incorrect P.O.S. However, my second, and current (for the past 12 years) Psych has been an absolute GEM. There are surly bad psychiatrists out there but there are plenty that do good work. I wouldn't have made it through the past two years without her...

    Plane friendly stim toys

I always brought a klixx or a tangle relax therapy to play with when flying. They go through security just fine

    Flat affect?

I think I might just show her this thread. I've been super super stressed over being in a wedding and now that it's over I'm hoping some of the flatness goes away.

    Flat affect?

Anyone else when under stress, or times of increased autism symptoms become kind of flat? My mother in law asked me this morning if my meds have changed or if I've been taking my anxiety meds more often because she's noticed how flat I've been and at times feels uncomfortable like she's trying...

    Comfy Clothes

I tend to go for soft clothing, or clothing with weaves that I enjoy (like waffle weave) I like it when I can forget I'm wearing an outfit, like I put it on and don't have to think about it being there

Are Aspies more susceptible to substance addictions?

I would be curious to find out. My late fiance was also autistic, and an addict. Sadly I could tell when he was using because he appeared more "normal" until it got out of control.

    Keeping the conversation going

I have a great boyfriend, we get on quite well, I enjoy goofing off with him and spending time with him, however lately, and I think partially due to my depression, I have no idea what to talk about, I don't want to just talk about work all of the time as I feel like that's boring and know we...

    What websites do you visit?

I just recently got a new laptop, I hadn't had a working one for awhile so most of my internet access was through apps on my phone.. So I'm looking to explore... Any suggestions? It can be anything, I'd like some social places to go (besides Reddit, already have that) but entertainment...

    I'm fed up with SSI

Do you have a case manager who can help you navigate calling into SSI? I don't know the difference between a social worker and a case manager but my person helps me make phone calls when I need to.

Are Those on the Autism Spectrum More Prone to Phobias than Others?

It wouldn't surprise me. I have stretches of time where my Autism symptoms are more prominent and it turns my anxiety into OCPD-type behaviors (constantly checking the door is locked or the oven is off etc)
