    Practical Cycling.

Tried one years ago. It just amped me up even more even seeing a car behind me, and with some ADHD issues as well, I found myself watching that mirror more than what was in front of me.

    Practical Cycling.

I love biking. I don't, however, love having to deal with traffic passing me. I've actually developed an uncontrollable case of road rage due to cars making me anxious by simply passing me. I've actually stopped cycling altogether for about three years because of this. Tried picking it back...

If you could bleep yourself in real life...

Only time I'd really need to bleep myself is due to uncontrollable road rage when on my bicycle. It builds to the point where I'm about ready to never leave home again.

    4th of July booms

I'll be moving way up north at the end of August, so hopefully things will be a lot more quiet then. Can't drive due to my disability, and my 20/50 vision, even with glasses, makes driving impossible. As far as my anxiety, nothing's ever worked in the past during an attack at all. Talking...

    4th of July booms

Absolutely can't stand fireworks at all. It's impossible to avoid them, and unfortunately here in South Berwick, it's a crappy town filled with drunks and tourists who don't know how to have a good time quietly. I find myself either yelling at the top of my lungs, or wanting to just disappear...

Noise pollution of living in Town

Loud motorcycles, garbage trucks at 4 AM, and the worst of all, fireworks randomly shot off even a mile away. Now, it's just gotten worse: neighbors moving into the apartment right next to mine, and the wall between the two is incredibly thin, to the point where I couldn't sleep at all a couple...

    nostalgic Mac/Windows games

We didn't get a windows machine until I was in high school, around 1999. I had a Tandy 2000, followed by an IBM PC with a whopping 10MB hard drive. Played quite a bit of 3-Demon on those machines!

Run inside? Run outside? Runner's High?

Been running since 2014, however I had to take a 3 year break from 2018-2021 as the anti-anxiety meds really wiped me out, plus I'd gained a ton of weight from them. Stopped them at the end of 2021 and started running/exercising again, and those 100 lbs were gone within maybe a year and a half.

The Post a Photo of Yourself Thread

Me in 2023, after dropping the nearly 100 pounds I gained from various anti-anxiety meds over a span of 5 years. Stopped everything in 2021 and started running/exercising again. Haven't looked back since.

    Does anyone like collecting?

I have a few collections: vinyl (both LP's and 7" singles), cassettes, jigsaw puzzles, board games, and a modest retro video game collection.

Exercise and sports (preferably endurance sports) as a hobby/interest. Anybody else?

Running for me. No races, though, except for maybe one local 5-miler. Longest I've ever gone was 13.5 miles in maybe 2:36:00. Even though I'm working pretty hard, it's very relaxing. I used to cycle a lot, too, until last summer. Sold my bike simply because over the last 20 years I've had...

    Songs you dislike

Haven't been on the forum in a good long while, but... The list of songs I don't like would probably take me the next 20 years to type out, so I'll just simply broaden the answer a bit. Genres I can't stand: Rap, modern R&B (anything post 1989), modern pop (anything post-1989), country, EDM...

Does anyone wear the same clothes over and over?

Not really the same clothes, as I have a good variety of things. It's more or less the same style. Sleeveless shirt and shorts. It definitely has to do with sensory, as I feel like I can move more freely, and unlike wearing slacks and anything with sleeves (even a T-shirt or Polo), I don't...

Fitness thread--what was your workout today?

My new home gym! I can do almost anything I want to do in here. Just looking for a bench press setup, preferably with a leg developer attachment. I'm not a fan of dumbbell bench presses, as I find it difficult to manage a pair of heavy dumbbells while leaning back on the bench, then sitting...
