Hi. I've got a question about Aspies and emotions.

Just did the eye test. 20 correct. Sorry but I am going to look at women's eyes more often after that.

You may be an Aspie if.....

You may be an aspie if; as a three year old you walk up to your 12 year old sister whose cat has just died and is crying and scream at her "What's your problem!!!"

12 Things Not to Say to Parents of Kids With Autism.

This is so correct. I am forever getting the 'she looks so normal' and also 'no she's not!' The 'she will eat when she is hungry' is probably the hardest to take as some of you on here already know she doesn't eat she lives on milk. Even paediatricians have just told us "it's amazing what kids...

Sensitive Topic Mom says 11-year-old daughter with autism attacked by teens and adults

The worst thing for me reading this is that my three year old aspie mimics everything and everyone. She has a younger brother who will be taught many forms of martial arts as he grows up, so he can always look out for his big sister.

    I'm back and apologies

Hi Suzanne Thank you for your reply. Totally agree with you. We end up telling them what they should be looking for. And yes the only reason we need an "official" diagnosis is to be able to get her help in schooling if it is needed.

    Mimicking & Fictional Characters

Hi My little one mimics all the time. Before she could talk she mimicked animal sounds to perfection. Now she mimics to fit in and not be noticed.

    I'm back and apologies

Hi all Sorry been away so long. Been fighting to get diagnoses for 3&1/2 year old daughter and it's just taken everything from me. She is the easiest case for diagnoses the so called experts could come across. But they just want to avoid giving her a diagnoses. It's assesment after meetings...

    Hello from Michigan

Hi Dawn And welcome Unfortunately from what I have learnt a lot of girls/women go undiagnosed It seems from a young age girls learn to adapt mimic fit in Whereas boys become more disruptive so get 'noticed' It's never to late to seek a diagnoses and get help for yourself and your daughter.

    Melatonin

Sorry I just read this and had a little chuckle to myself ' the average time to fall asleep fell from 38 minutes to 24 minutes' 38 minutes?? Just think how much that average would go up if they used my daughter in their study.
