Some snakes look like leaves, and that's why you should always watch your step.

A snake's greatest fear is being stepped on by large animals. They're very sensitive to vibrations in the ground and will get out of your way if they can.

Here, we have hog nose snakes. They can get about 2 feet long, and are fat.

Despite the fact that cobras don't live within 1000s of miles, a hog nose snake's first line of defense is to rear up like a cobra. If that doesn't work, it roles over and plays dead.

Words are hard for me lately. I've been so tired and sorta sad. Heartbroken and weak. And pretty sick too. I have very little memory of the past couple weeks. Don't really wanna talk about why. It's too big, and too many causes, and I'm not in a place emotionally where feeling all that would be good. So I keep my hands and mind busy, and sleep a lot.
What a weird winter

So...in Farenheit that's from about 42 in the morning, to around 80.
We have variations like that in the fall.

Forecast here for tomorrow is possible high of 40+ degrees,
which is very warm for January.
Wallabies are cute, and were once mistaken for aliens for making crop circles.

They are slowly becoming very well established right the way across southern England and Wales as feral pests. At the moment everyone thinks they're cute and loves seeing them but that will change in the next 50 years or so.

How common are wild wallabies in Suffolk and Norfolk?

I knew it was really prankster wallabies all along. I was not fooled, not even a little bit for a short time.

I feel guilty being on SSDI, even though I know I would be unable to work at all if I did not get the medical care that I do get.

Don't feel guilty about using it, that's why it's there!

I was going to say exactly what Masked Man said, in exactly the same words.

People are not guilty of their biology.
'Bout 6 inches of snow last night. Thinking about snowshoes...

No, you wouldn't be jealous, you'd be thinking maybe you didn't have it so bad. Those temperatures are in the high 90s and over 100 in your money.

Oh my. I wilt at temperatures over 75 F.

If it's cold one can always layer more, but there is a limit to how naked one can get when it's hot.

It's getting towards midnight here now and it's still 32.6 degrees - that's 90 in your money.
It's just nothing but faith-killingly depressing when you have a mother with barely any mental illness at all but a stepfather who's like %1000 schizo and just because you're autistic and bad at doing anything perfectly he decides to hate you and turn on you emotionally.

I almost hung myself with a paranoid from my survival kit this morning because of the rude awakening I got that lead to this whole day. Still hated.
"This is Bravo 7 re iterating previous request for care package. Squad is experiencing malnutrition. Most common request appears to be mass quantities of rotisserie chicken. Over."
Idiot neighbor's pig was on my back deck eating bird food today.

Called animal control.

If it's just a little domestic pig, he's just a baby. They're much like dogs, really. Lil sweeties. I like piggies. Hogs on the other hand can be scary. But not always. Do the neighbor a favor, leash him up, and haul him home. You can then speak directly to the neighbor about the situation.

300 lb sow.

The only farm animal that will eat people.

I have spoken to him about his livestock roaming my land in the past. Many times. He screams and throws tantrums. I do not speak to him any more.

Well, I would suggest you serve your neighbor a ham and bacon dinner, but that would curse you.
Borogrove.app turns out to not even use the Standard Rule Definitions rulebook for I7 so I can't even setup my everyday game engine (money handling, liquid volume etc.) How am I going to program 2 liters of infinite Pepsi now?!

I HAVE CUSTOMERS WAITING, DAMN IT
If there's anything I learned from Australia, it's that you shouldn't introduce different species into a new environment.
bah I hate it when I have to wear these stupid glasses, my eyelashes are so freaking long and constantly brush against the lenses. Talk about distracting.

Are your eye lashes naturally that long or •••?

Yeah, they're just very long by default. It can be pretty annoying. Not just the glasses, it happens with my VR headset as well.
It's funny. There has never been a bear that had ever existed in Australia.

That's a good thing. Especially when you see what a hungry bear can do to an unlocked motor vehicle.

Well, let's just say that in their hungry quest for anything that's the slightest bit edible, that they'll attempt to tear anything apart to get to something that smells like food. And that it's amazing what they can do with their claws.
Well, I'm back to full health and just in time for the new year. By the way, ever wonder why capybaras are cool with every animal?
