Going to my old hometown tomorrow (where I grew up). It's a lovely town but for some reason it's making me feel a little off, not sure why. Maybe because it reminds me of my late mother too much.
Having trouble staying awake at my desk today, and my boss has noticed, and this is embarrassing. I woke up at 2am and could not get back to sleep.

Do you have insomnia? I suffer from this.
I'm off on a trip! Heading up north for the first time in awhile, since the weather has gotten to the "less stupid" phase. Good thing too, nice change of scenery and a chance for a lot of exercise. Good for the dogs, too. I'll see y'all next week, maybe I'll have some photos to share!
Today was my due date, meaning I was assumed to be born on this date. So it would have been my birthday today. But because I was born late, my birthday still isn't quite yet lol
I fell asleep in the office yesterday. I am too exhausted

It happened before too. I am way too exhausted, and since no one knows about my autism i cannot say anything about it

I wish my paremts were supportive of me quitting this job. But they are not

I hate my life
So, people at church (I'm not religious by the way, but I'm forced to go) keep commenting that I don't like to make eye contact, but then I have to tell them that when I'm listening, my eyes are elsewhere otherwise I wouldn't hear a word they say.

When you have your eyes closed people always assume your sleeping but I do this to focus on a talk

This is me just guessing but no eye contact in the other could signal to primitive lower brain that the other is scheming, or untrustworthy in some way. Whereas too much eye contact could signal aggression. Its a tight rope!

*Please don't take that personally I know the struggle

I think it's more about people thinking that you're not paying attention to them and not listening to what they're saying. It seems diametral to the way we function (no eye contact = listening, versus other people: eye contact = listening).
What's up with YouTube lately recommending videos from women like health, self confident and even yoga which would be fine if it did not have profane constant titles containing BS and no s.. It's getting real annoying playing wack a mole not recommended banishing and thumbs down the videos.

I know the feeling. Sometimes I'll click on a true crime video and then next thing I know YouTube is recommending things straight from the bowels of hell

Have you ever googled something related to those videos?

Gotta give him credit. He said this with all seriousness. He his truly dedicated to the Elder ones.

Or he is already loco in the coco.

You know what... it's both. He's definitely both things.
Weekly farmer’s market starts in town this Saturday, I will budget to go there most weekends for lunch, free live music and fresh produce.

Ours will be starting soon. I like the real oddities at ours. An Amish family brings everything pickled or fermented. I get my Kimchi from them. Beekeepers are selling honey and people their home made Maple Syrup. One dairy farm sells Smoked Butter. Ideal on Supersweet Corn.
I messaged my friend i had a fight with. She messaged me a few days ago, i was not expecting her to ever contact me again
AprilR

It was. Part of it is related to her wanting me to act like my past self. We had an argument bc she mentioned i am always stressed and not accepting of her crazy ideas. So it is deeper than a one time thing

She's finding it difficult to accept the authentic you

Maybe but she befriended me while i was masking so its partly my fault
I just told my sister about my autism diagnosis. Her reaction: it doesn't surprise her. I don't know how I feel about that right now :D

I told my trustworthy friends. They have not judged or treated me differently at all. It's a relief because now I can be myself around them.

Thanks. Yeah, somehow, I didn't expect that reaction. She used to be very judgmental (and still is about some things). Her current job really seems to have given her some new perspective. It's weird but I guess it's good

When I was first diagnosed with ADHD my husband said "you don't need a diagnosis to figure that out" 🤣
