An unnamed person diagnosed with autism (also my personal friend) in Singapore commented that Singaporeans are complacent, and keep blaming others (NTs) for their misfortune.

If Singaporean parents migrate to other overseas countries for better autism services regardless of their child's functioning levels, if able people suffer in conscription, or are discriminated against for not serving the country, and if autistic people, aware of their tics and stims, are ridiculed by other autistic people who have the ability to control them by the reasoning of 'making me look bad' sort of reasons...

Then I would say this gives Singaporean autistic people a greater challenge to overcome their odds, by creating conditions for acceptance in our society.

We need to accept that lower-functioning autistic people who have the ability to do posiitve things for the good of society should be given the necessary opportunities to succeed, if they are within our control.
