i've been having wrist problems from typing too much. it's hard though because i'm isolated without going online. really don't want to get carple tunnle but it takes a loooooooooong time to heal. i keep getting depressed/anxiety and hurting my wrist again. currently using mouse keys and a pencil attached to my brace to type. hope this works because i'm addicted to my computer. going to make a dr apointment.

start having fish oils in you're diet if your not vegetarian
or omega 3 & 6 if you are and olive oil as well its lubes the joints .
get an ergonomic keyboard !if not dictate to the computer you'll have to acclimate the computer to your exact voice !all computers have a tutorial to complete it !

MDs are not usually helpful with stuff like your problem. They like to wait until one is completly incapacitated before they perform surgery which may or may not work. You might get a few pain pills also, which can be a mixed blessing.

I went to a chiropracter who I told about reading about another chiropracter in another state who had been able to cure carpal tunnel. He broke apart ligaments that had partially fused together. This cured me. Maybe you can find another chiropracter who would do that.

My MD hooked me up with a brace when I had tendinitis in my elbow and wrist from using my computer too much. That plus painkillers and exercises. You will have to leave the computer alone for a bit though, to avoid exacerbating the problem.

I know how you feel.

I have carpel tunnel now and enquired of the Dr ( because of hearing successful stories), the process I would have to go for and decided from that information, I must be moderate in my habits.

Ironically, my hobby of cross stitching does that add to the problem.

I used to be on my computer day in and day out. Like you, that is my way to connect to others. I now only spent an hour here and there on it and judging by no more numbness and conic pins and needles in my hand, it is obviously working.

I used a stylus for my tablet, because I actually feel sick using my finger.

I am blessed that I was around, just before technology and so, can bounce back to how I was before, if I have no choice.

Keeping the wrist supported and/or immobilized
through use of a brace of some kind should help.

I used a pop sickle stick once when I started a job
using keyboard all day.

B-6 is important, if the wrist difficulty is accompanied
by pain/buzzing feeling/numbness in the area.

I only recommend things/practices with which I am
familiar, so this isn't out of a book or off the
internet some place.

ty for the support. i have a brace and will ty the fish oils. for now, not typing with my fingers is helping. i've taken 3 day breaks but those weren't long enough. it takes a long time to heal.
