Agree 150%.

I was raised on 70's and 80's rock and pop. I feel like today's music, or a lot of it at least, really lacks substance and creativity. It seems to be more about the image, whether the song "has a beat and you can dance to it," where lyrics don't really matter as much, creative melodies are a thing of the past, and raw talent has unfortunately been taken over by pitch-correction software such as Auto-Tune and Melodyne. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's ALL bad, I do like some newer artists, but it's harder to find that needle in the haystack of whatever the industry is pushing out at any given time.
