Words I have tried so hard to say...

I have this thing about studying things about our brains, thoughts, behaviors, and so on...

I guess when you KNOW you are not the same as most every person around you it gives some of us a reason to learn, strive, dig, and try to do things others simply cant do.

Its not about being special. Its maybe more about taking what is our weakness and turning it into something unexpected.

This video says so much (in very simple form) that I try to say, understand, remember, and do with my life.

I hope it will help someone else understand what seems so concrete, yet we have it all wrong, and we add to it and things get worse and worse... until we LEARN how to UNLEARN what we already KNOW...

So how do you feel about meditation?

I have lots of trouble "shutting things down," however I am trying to learn how to sort of do that also.
My brain is like 10 howling coyotes... Its bad in there... : )

But I'm not giving up. It takes time. I have been like this for a long time. Nothing is going to change over night, and IF IT DID, my body and systems probably couldn't even take it...

I do think its great, useful, maybe even a little honorable towards trying to give our brains and body a break.

But I'm not a good monk yet... : ) Trying though

This brings up a question I often wonder about:

Do I deliberately analyze everything because my brain is hard-wired to analyze everything? Or because I have to analyze everything to get it right, so it’s become a lifelong habit?

My guess is that it’s a combination of talent and skill. I have some natural tendency to analyze things. And when you have a hammer, the whole world becomes a nail. So, I analyze everything, which leads to it becoming a more polished skill.

Analyzing everything in extreme detail helps in some cases. But I do wish I could turn it off when I want to.
