So were mine. It was a trip and a half sitting there installing all of that again and reading through all the different messages that pop up.
You'll probably do the same as I did, try installing without dos and discovering that it doesn't work.
In Windows 95 and 98 I still remember running only one exclusive DOS game- "Silent Hunter". Ran fine in Windows 95/98, but I could never get it to run in XP.
But it was also only one of two exclusively DOS games I had left. I also had "Diplomacy" on DOS that could run...although it was never a great app in itself. Otherwise I just don't recall having difficulty with DOS in those operating systems, but like I said, it was down to only two.
Though I see what you mean, as I recall reading about frustrated users not being able to run much older DOS-based games. After all, the DOS built-in later Windows versions didn't necessarily work with older DOS games.
