There was this guy I thought was cute at my old workplace who I occasionally saw and flirted with, but we barely talked and I never learned his name. I kinda tried to look for him to accidentally bump into him on my last day, but I didn't want to go too out of the way, and I didn't see him at all that day. :(

To be honest I'm not sure if he was attracted to me or not. Sometimes when he saw me he looked away too quickly, like he didn't want to engage in conversation with me. But then there was this time when I was entering the break room through one door while he was exiting through the other, and after I sat down I noticed from the reflection on the glasses that he was re-entering the break room and hanging out while looking my way.

Now, I know what time he gets out of work and I've been thinking about stopping by my old workplace under the pretense of visiting my former coworkers. The main problem is of course there's no guarantee that I'll be there at the exact right time, or if he even still works there. Assuming this will work though, is it socially acceptable or a tad too stalkerish/desperate?

Stalkerish only starts either its clear that your attention is unwelcome, or when the relationship fails to develop, either on its own or because you deliberately avoid progressing the relationship to the point where the object of your desire can make their preference known to you. That is, keeping things voyeuristic instead of allowing a real relationship to develop. Until then, everyone does this sort of cutesy tentative stuff. Youve got to start somewhere, and we all hate rejection.

Depends entirely how you go about it. As long as you keep it civil and don't use it as an excuse to stare at him. Just keep it as visiting old colleagues, one of whom you just so happen to have a crush on.

If you do see him, then maybe you should say something, even if it's only, "Hello, I'm . . ." and give your name; or, "Hello; sorry, I don't know your name", and take it from there.

No, not creepy. You are visiting your old workplace, and if you happen to connect with him or not, then the real reason you went will have been fulfilled. No one will ever know.
