Will be 47 years tomorrow, my parents adopted me making it final and glad they did. My bio mom gave me up for adoption after she gave birth to me at age 14. Knew she was way too young to raise a child. It was 2 weeks after I was born in December of 1978, they came into my life. Mom saw a beautiful little girl holding me and dad went with her choice. They had two sons whom are my brothers to this day and she wanted a daughter. She could not get pregnant anymore. My brothers were 8 and 6 at time I was adopted and they were good about having a sister. They shown me love and a better life which they have been there for during my hard times. My brothers whom 55 and 53 now, we co own a towing yard together taking over since dad retired 5 years ago working together. I did try to find my bio parents finding out they were both deceased. Dad died in 1987 in an logging accident and mom died in a car accident in 1993. I keep in touch with their families and I got my answers from them

An early Very Merry Birthmas to you. I hope that you have a wonderful day.

I will and my bio parents families have welcomed me in as well. Both families knew they had a granddaughter and niece whom wanted to find me too. Also glad I was adopted into a loving family. They say look exactly like my biological mom and just like her. She was a redhead and stubborn at times which I am as well. I know my bio mom and dad are looking down seeing I was adopted to a loving family

Welcome to the Forums - and well done for adopting your son.

You dont despise them for abandoning you? Maybe because you actually have a fine life, compare to many others who don't get adopted..

Mom was 14 when she gave birth to me and she was too young to raise me. Wanted a better life for me. Her mom whom is still alive said she wrote a letter to me to be given to me one day and did read it 10 years ago. I was emotional reading it which she mentioned everything knowing it was best for her to give me up for adoption. Dad was 15 at the time and he agreed with her to put me up for adoption
