Why So Many Ads???

Gah! Way too many ads! It makes reading the site difficult and annoying. I try to read a thread, and I get a Burger King ad on top, then another one interrupting every two posts, not to mention the ones at the side and bottom. And the ads load at different times, so my "place" in the page keeps shifting around. Very distracting! Especially for someone who likes a clutter-free, distraction-free, noise-free environment, this is not good.

It also isn't clear until you come into threads like this that you can pay for "VIP" membership, which removes the ads. That's good, but the option shouldn't be hard to discover. Put a button up front with "Ad Free" or something.

I am not bitching so much as letting you know you're probably losing a lot of potential members because they find the site too annoying and distracting to read, and they leave before discovering that they can pay to remove ads. The info is buried in a subforum.

I have an ad-blocker, but for some reason it doesn't work on this site. :/

Which adblocker are you using? They arent all created equal.

I use uBlock Origin myself (and then also SponsorBlock to get rid of the other type of ad on Youtube).

I havent seen an internet ad in who even knows how long on my PC here.

I use the very creatively titled "AdBlock." It works fine on the other sites I visit. This is the first site where it has failed.

It's like the ads are so numerous and powerful, they overrun the gates or something, lol.
