Jar Jar Binks ruined the prequels IMO, and most Star Wars fans are of the same opinion, Episode 1 was crap, mostly because of Jar Jar being one of the main characters.

I kind of have a respect for the Klingons of Star Trek, they started out as the main baddies of the original series, then we got Worf in TNG and Deep Space 9.

And the Ferengi started as baddies in the first season of TNG, then they became good in Deep Space 9.
