Do you have a special place?
I like it many places, outside in the sun or shade, overcast days, rainy days that are not too coldundrr shelter or under a umbrella, on a porch, in a lounge room on the couch with a blanket or the TV on or in bed near a window with sunrise or sunset. Early morning or during daylight savings.

I don't read much but when I do it's always in the bath, because the bathroom light is the brightest light in the house and I can focus better when bathing in warm, soapy water.

Bed, couch, chair.
Mostly bed, where I can shut everything out.
In nature I get too overjoyed and excited.
Get easily distracted if Im not hyperfocused.
(maybe its because I also have ADHD. Maybe its my autism too then senses too much. Doesnt really matter why.)
Reading under a tree sounds so calming.
everytime I try tho, I get nervous and ...well...the things I mentioned already.

I consistently enjoy reading in bed before sleep. I once had a lovely tortie cat who woukd snuggle against my shoulder and put a paw on me as I read. I miss her.

While having a meal.

Book or Kindle on table, food next to it, BAM, mealtime entertainment.

However, dog-related distractions always go with this.

I do also read before bed, but not books... I'll admit it's mostly just me roaming the TVTropes site. That place, it'll getcha.

I try to read a bit every night in bed before I go to sleep. It allows my brain to unwind and disconnect from the day. Usually one of my cats will sleep next to me while I read.

In the wilderness somewhere I am camping. During the day under a shade tree, at night in my tent. If I am staying overnight aboard my sailboat at anchor in some remote area, I will read in the cockpit by day and in a cabin bunk at night. Nearly all my reading takes place when I am camping. Too busy otherwise. Retired now, and I can't fathom how I ever had time to go to work. ;)

A modern-style adjustable leather chair in the corner of my living room. With a 3-way light directly behind it, and to the side a sliding door for natural sunlight. Set up precisely for reading and little else.
