please post your dreams in this thread. here [below] is one i had a few hours ago-

i dreamt that my late dad one day reappeared from the long-dead, appearing as he did about 10 years before his death. he badgered me about why i threw out or donated all his stuff, that he needed it again now, and i was powerless to answer him or help him. then i dreamt i was at my house in an alternate reality, i had lots of things like motor scooters and go carts and weird funny bikes and other cool fun stuff, but the house was full of visitors and i didn't get to ride on any of them because they were riotously hogging them all, then i got into a station wagon with them and headed who knows where.

Death dreams. They don't present as such. But sometimes it's a sign. So l dreamed my friend was walking to the store with her mom. But her mom never made it. I knew she was going to die after that dream and l knew apoximately when. About a month later, l left the drugstore with my landlady and her mom ahead of me in line. My landlady was dead in a week. These woman that passed were the same ethnicity. It was definitely bizarre. And they both died from the same cause. Think it was interesting how a mom and daughter were going to the store, and how a mom and daughter were leaving a store. It was like a giant universe coincidence.

I dreamed my grandmother who had just passed came to say goodbye to me in my dream. But l have no idea if l will dream about when my mom passes because our relationship has been a struggle.

Sometimes l have had dreams of being in a foreign place with activity going down like one was a woman getting yelled at and l needed to help her. It makes me think of astral traveling.

I won't describe the dream as it involves dark stuff, but I was not in the dream, just an outside observee which I thought was odd.
I used to dream in abstract images also as a kid.

Hmm...55 years of dreams, where to start? Weird, weird? Weird, scary? Weird, funny? Weird, amazing? I've got them all!

Let's do weird, amazing!

I have to stage this dream so you will understand just how weird and amazing it was.
I grew up in the western U.S and, at the time of this dream, had never been east of the Mississippi river. In short, I couldn't know certain elements of my dream that later transpired to be factual and true.

In my dream I am a young lady. Really, a child of about 12. I am with my family at an amusement park with a wooden walkway. The style of dress indicates that this is sometime around the turn of the century. I am wearing a flat brimmed straw hat. Mother is irritable. I also have a younger brother, a nanny and my father is there also. I want to ride the rides but mother won't let us. She wants us to see some cultural events instead. Father, I think wants to gamble. At one point I slip away from our group. I want to ride the ponies at the Steeple Chase. The Steeple Chase is a long track of fake ponies in slots in a track. I get my ride and it is terrifying.
There is so much more I could tell you about this dream but thats good enough.
At the time I had this dream I thought it was simply amazing. But I recently discovered that there was a ride at Cony Island, New York, around the turn of the 20th century called "The Steeple Chase". In the picture I saw it looked exactly like my dream.

I've been taking notes of my dreams lately. I have weird dreams, and after reading Jung I considered the possibility it may be worth taking them a look from that perspective. I'm skeptical about this, but still I found it interesting enough to giving it a try. I'm not willing to reveal the associations I made from dreams, because it means sharing more personal information that I'm willing to make public.
At the risk of you all thinking my batshit insane, here's a weird dream from days ago:

  1. I was on the street using a desktop computer, and there was a TV nearby on which I was watching the anime My Hero Academia (Season 2, Episode 10, Deku fights Todoroki). A door opened behind me a young woman came out (age 25-30), she approached me. At that point I expected a complaint, since I imagined the TV and the computer belonged to her, and they were in fact in her doorway, but she didn't complain and rather she started small talk with me. She even asked me how I managed to turn on the TV, because apparently she didn't know and I had to show her. After doing so, she tried to do the same repeating my movements (the pressing of a button, not more), and yet she failed. The woman talked about her health issues. She was on her way to the doctor, ankle surgery I believe.

  2. The scene changed: we were in the living room of my apartment (I don't have an apartment). She went on talking about medical matters and I paid little attention. I had three computers there, and she sat on one; that worried me: she may find the porn I had in there, but nothing in her voice revealed me she had. Not much later she decided to go, and then I walked her downstairs. The way downstairs was long, and as we walked down the stairs she continued talking, but her voice became only a sutble murmur I could barely hear. When we reached the bottom floor I took notice of her unmoving face — this made me think: whatever I had been hearing on our way down was not her voice. Maybe it was just my imagination? We reached the door to the building and she said some more words that I found cold, said only for the purpose of social correctness. She opened the door and left, without saying goodbye. That mildly offended me, and thus I ran happily to the stairs — my intention here was for her to see, through the door's glass window, how little I cared about her and how I had more urgent matters to take care of.

  3. The stairs I came back to are different: steeper and with narrow steps. Going up was not easy, and I had to make use of both my feet and hands to climb. I got to a rest at some point, an old woman appeared (age 40-60) and talked with me about the issues I had to climb up. This woman told me why she built this place: she had no other place to live — she owned the building. She went downstairs, maybe with someone else, and I went on climbing.

  4. I reached a room, but it was not "my apartment". This room was big, elegant, refined, luxurious. There was a sofa with three people sitting down (ages 60-70) talking, I can't remember about what. There was a door that I expected, would open to a balcony — we were on the top floor after all, but instead it opened to a large, green, open space, like I'm in the countryside and it's the bottom floor. Outside I saw semicircular wall, its height up to my knee. It marked the limits of my property. When soon a subtle wind blew, part of the wall fell over. I walked up to this wall and tested it with my hand: I could see how weak it was, how easily it moved. An old man was out there (age 80-90), beyond the tiny wall and beyond my property, he said something I can't remember. I check the wall again, and it occurred to me that even if it were rebuilt, it would be easy for me to jump over it and go outside.

  5. The scene changed to night. Now I was outside the tiny wall, outside "my" property, and I started to explore other rooms I could only access from outside. In one room I saw Beethoven giving a concert. He was playing with emotion and giving his all, even though there were just one or two people in the room and minding their own business. There was another room, completely dark and here I could not see directly what happened inside, but I knew that there was a couple having sex; here the man covered his face with two masks so that the woman couldn't see his face while they had sex, and later the woman tied her feet to a rope and hanged head down holding a spoon in her mouth, which she used to play with the man's testicles who was laying naked on the floor.

  6. The scene changed, I'm inside again. I looked outside through a window and saw the dark green fields from above: I was now one floor above. Before I had the impression I was at the top floor, but I was wrong, there was one more beyond. I walked through dark hallway and opened a door to a room: the place was obscure,I could see nothing except the floor: it was covered in stars, slowly moving in waves like the sea.

Disclaimer: I promise I'm not making use of substances of any sort.

I already went over one in a topic recently, so I'll just post that:

A dream story

It's not the WEIRDEST but the truly weird ones for me arent exactly coherent, so that'll have to do.

Almost all of my dreams are nightmares, and recurring nightmares are frequent.
I’m also prone to sleep paralysis and night terrors.
I wouldn’t wish PTSD on anyone. I am usually afraid to go to sleep.

Hmmm. Several to think of.

This one is weird. Because I remember it before I became aware of the world. Tree monsters and darkness. Again before I had any experience of this world.

As for the rest. Mostly I have them before becoming sick. Or during it. Forgetting much of them as a protective tactic.

There is one dream I am proud of. It isn't necessarily weird. But, it is one I feel everyone can relate to. For years I had a dream with a shadow monster chasing me down. Usually when I was very sick. Always ran from the thing. Then woke up in a cold sweat scared not wanting to sleep.
One dream though it tried it. This time I was the monster a werewolf and fought back. No longer afraid. Slept well that night.

Do you really want to know? I felt like I just awoke, bound hand and foot and noticed a fire near me and this was in a cave. I could see a meathook hanging from the ceiling. The entrance was visible and it was near twilight and I could see the backlit silhouettes of two men. They started to talk and one berated the other for not killing me. I started crawling towards a heap of stuff in the alcove I was in. They continued talking, mentioning that I would look funny dancing on the meathook before I died. At that time I managed to uncover a revolver, three shots remaining, and thought "two to make sure I kill one with one left for me. They turned and started towards me. It was awkward but I managed to aim and shot the biggest twice in the chest. The other was too close and I put a bullet in my brain. There was a bright flash, then I woke up and it was morning. Or I could tell you the one about the phosphorescent, flickering skull floating outside my window.

A couple of weeks ago, I dreamt that I was being murdered by giant mechanical spiders in my very living room. I remember waking up with a bit of a panic and then laughing a few seconds later.

Only the awful ones have entered into my long-term memory. I also have had hypnagogic hallucinations, which are similar to dreams but worse. I remember almost all of those.

i dreamt i was at my house in an alternate reality, i had lots of things like motor scooters and go carts and weird funny bikes and other fun stuff, but the house was full of visitors and i didn't get to ride on any of them because they were riotously hogging them all, then i got into a car with them and headed who knows where.

i dreamt that i was in a dormitory, i was in my underwear in my dorm room, my roommates were gone and it was just me, i was supposed to get dressed and meet them at the mall along with some female students. but i couldn't seem to get it in gear, i remained in my skivvies and every time i tried to put my pants on they fell off. instead, i reached into the dorm room fridge and pulled out a jar of home-made savory cheese dip and ate it, it was delicious.

I have mentioned elsewhere that my dreamscape is much more varied and interesting than waking life.

I had a very weird and recurring dream when I was but a child. Every time I had a fever, I found myself trapped in a vast featureless emptiness that had large black amorphous blobs chasing and rolling over me. Thank the stars that those dreams disappeared around adolescence, but then I have had very few fevers since then.

On a completely different front, hands down, the strangest dream I ever had was - I once dreamed I was Julie Andrews. I am referencing the young version, star of Broadway musicals, pre-Mary Poppins. In the dream I was hovered over by many people preparing me for a television appearance. I do not know what specific experience stimulated that particular dreamscape, but then I do not know how to explain any of my dreams to others.

I could go on, but I think it wise to stop here! :)

i dreamt that my late dad one day reappeared from the long-dead, appearing as he did about 10 years before his death. he badgered me about why i threw out or donated all his stuff, that he needed it again now, and i was powerless to answer him or help him.

The culture here believes that when someone passes away, they’ll send their last messages to people they care about through dreams. I find that really sweet.

i dreamt i was in the kitchen of my tin can, at the computer when i noticed the lights stopped working, it was grayish dusk outside, the curtains were open and there was just enough gray light inside to see what i was doing. i noticed some ominous unnatural sounds coming from somewhere inside so i made my way down the hall to investigate, when i noticed my spare bedroom light was on, i went inside in search of the noise, i dug through my open closet through a bunch of stuff until i found an unused telephone with speech coming from the receiver, i picked it up and it said words to the effect that since nobody was using this phone, it was having a conversation with itself.

I occasionally have dreams about the woman who gaslighted and abused me for years where she is trying to pull her usual act of abuse on me and I actually stand up to her and call her out for her actions. Last night I dreamt she asked me to come over to my dad’s house to help clean. She started to passive aggressively criticize me and saying that I was doing it all wrong when I wasn’t and I told her, “Well if it looks like I can’t do it right, then maybe I shouldn’t do it at all and the best thing would for me to leave.” I then was halfway out the door when she then used her guilt trip act on me claiming she was so tired from doing everything and that I should be grateful she doing anything for me after what I’ve done to her and threatened to throw away everything that belonged to me in the house which I told her only my bo staff is in that house and everything else is out. I then woke up.

I’ve had dreams where she continues to blame me for ruining her life and I tell her that she did that to herself and if anything, the only person’s life who was ruined was mine because of her abuse and one where she had gotten sober and tried to apologize to me for everything while still passive aggressively blaming me and I rejected her and said that if she was going to act this way still, I didn’t want her back into my life.

I always have weird dreams. One that is really funny is when I made a quick trip to hell and was surprised at seeing some people there I didn't really expect to see there. lol

I dream a lot that I'm moving or have moved in with my mom, which bothered me at first because she has been deceased 13 years now. But I realized that the dreams were about me moving into her place in the family. Now I'm the sick elder watching my children raise their children.

Most my dreams are very entertaining. But I hate the dreams that I'm working in the hospital again. They always end up that I realize I've been back over a year and have yet to be paid, but don't think I'll get paid because I'm not sure I clocked in or if my badge even works.
