What would be your dream house if money were not an issue?

Just curious if folks are considering how they would clean and maintain some of these properties, especially one with a swimming pool. One guy in Toronto built a fabulous place to retire, and then got taxed out of it.

It’d pretty much be similar to the house I live in now only with another room or two, one more bathroom, an actual coat closet, and a small broom closet, and a dishwasher and garbage disposal. The extra rooms I’d use for a craft/sewing room for drag and other creative things and the other would be a display room for my large music box and doll collections. Nothing too big, probably the size of a large living room at most and I’d switch the pieces in my collections per season/holiday. Christmas would be the most fun for me to decorate that room. I’d think that I’d also like one of those fake fireplaces that give off realistic flames without the heat as well in my living room to give it some atmosphere. Oh and a finished attic for storage space for winter clothes and other things that I want to keep but not going to use regular throughout the year.

I've changed my mind a bit. Now I'd like to add a huge ballroom, and make it two stories, so one could choose between a rave and a square dance, or a waltz vs breakdancing, etc.

Not so much a 'dream house', but a 'dream place'......
It would be the place (home plus acreage) I have now, but located on the Central Coast near San Luis Obispo. Nice weather!

To also have a few 300 sq ft places in the other Western States, to have home bases from which to explore, and don't have to muck around trying to find inexpensive lodging.

I enjoy the big outdoors, but prefer very small homes......

I have my very small car rigged up so that I could live in it for days.

I do that with my Jeep Patriot when I travel. That way I don't have to add motel expenses to the traveling.

My perfect home is quite simple and modest, a small neat and easy to look after one man cabin somewhere in remote forest, and a decent reliable car to go and shop when I need to. If I had unlimited wealth I wouldn't spend it on a big house, I'd spend it on a big swath of land so that none of my neighbours were close.
Enough land for privacy, and to raise my own food

A somewhat smallish but not extremely small cabin in the middle of 100 acres with lots of good trails for hiking and horseback riding and some good birdwatching spots where I could hide with my camera and I small shed that could serve as a small analytical lab.

I think my current house is my dream house. It is small so easy to keep clean, and close enough to markets, hospitals etc that i don't have to use a car to go anywhere. I like it a lot.

That's what I have Now only issue is having parties. Need to get kids stuff out of basement so guests during party can spread out, 116 meters squared is great, or 1250 feet squared.basement is bonus.
