What places of business trigger you, and you hate to go to no matter what?

Airport. Even at my best I cant deal with that nonsense.

Total chaos, idiotic security setups, people everywhere, bathrooms that smell like pure evil, and then you wait like 2 hours for the grand privilege of getting in a flying Pringles tube with all the other sardines. And the bathroom on that thing is even worse, the ceiling is too low and it moves the whole time. And then the toilet tries to suck you into the Dungeon Dimensions if you dare flush it.

Then if I get off at the Tampa airport specifically I get the amazing fun of getting on the Stupid Track Thing that wobbles back and forth as it slides along at 5 bazillion miles per hour just to hopefully get to some cars. I dont know who thought any of that was a good idea.

I don't physically go there, but it is ironic that of all the companies I hate to contact by telephone, the telephone company tops the list.

About half of the responses in this tread "hit the nail on the head" i.e., most big-box stores, some supermarkets.

I can mention that living in a region where there are towns with many small independent-run (usually uncrowded) businesses offering all of the products I need - hence, it's rarely necessary to visit big-box stores.

I 100% agree with you on both airports, and planes.

I feel like we had a similar conversation about the Tampa airport years ago lol

For me, the most "triggering" places of business are supermarkets or stores that don't have a self checkout. The lines at the registers give me anxiety, and I'm always afraid of embarrassing myself when I talk to a cashier.
Maybe immature at my age, but I really don't like talking to strangers. Not because I'm afraid of them or anything, just because I'm afraid of saying something dumb. Kind of silly because I'm likely never going to see most of them again.

The one exception where I don't mind a store without a self checkout- I live in a very, very small town with one little tiny grocery, and at this point we know all the workers by name, and I never feel awkward or embarrassed talking to them anymore.
The only awkward thing is the guy at the deli who has a crush on me, who my partner isn't a big fan of. Lol

Being a resourceful (proactive minded) person has minimized those visits to those places presenting challenges.
