What kind of music did your grandparents listen to?

I don't know what they listened to, but when I showed my grandmother what I thought was a novel dance move around 1960, she immediately performed it herself. I presume she had been dancing to 20s jazz. Her son would not allow conversation when Ella Fitzgerald was on the TV.

Wouldn't know: my grandparents died before I was even born. However, I can say that the youngest of them was born in 1911, so I imagine music from the 1930s-40s was a common thing they listened to.

I'm not aware of my grandparents havibg vinyls or anything like that. There wasn't a lot of music available and it wasn't possible to listen to it all the time like it is nowadays on spotify. Both of my grandmas listened to the radio - to the few channels that were available and then continued to exist. Grandpa also played the guitar and was in a rock band when he was in high school ;) My grandparents read a lot of books instead. They also read newspapers and watched the TV. (My grandparents on one side still do, because they're alive, my grandparents on the other side are no longer alive)
