The house cat sits on the sofa in the living room.
No doubt. Here at my house it was 3 F this morning.
Howard is enjoying a fresh grooming I did today, and healing nicely with his new cone. He looks so cute on walks with the cone wiggling back and forth as he skips along the sidewalk and reminds me of that white dog from Rick and Morty.
You mean Rocky's mat.
Rocky just wants to learn Yoga. Maybe he can start with downward dog?

Both of my old cats are sitting on windowsills, watching out the windows at the birdfeeders and a stray black cat that has been hanging around here for days. I'm hoping the stray cat will leave. We don't want any more pets at this point, and I won't feed it because it would continue to lurk around here.
It has been six months since Rue Dog passed. Six months of working one dog instead of two and half the weight on my bed at night. And on Monday I got a curveball question. 'Do you want a dog?'
More specifically, a one year old Aussie who was in need of a home through no fault of his own. I said yes almost instinctively. I did ask my best friend if she was okay with adding another dog, (since we have Marlowe and Rory already). She said yes, so today we got Ace of Basse, called Basse.
He's a couple months younger than Rory at just a year old. He wasn't abused or neglected, but was subjected to indifference and/or an owner who was frequently absent due to work. He has huge potential with time and training. He's bright and cheeky. A nice counterpoint to Marlowe's gentle occasionally goofy mean, and Rory's timid, yet gentle nature.

Spike's out for a bit of free-roaming exercise. He's got surgery to remove a tumour on Wednesday so won't be out for a while during his recovery.
