What exactly is a stiff gaze?

People have told me in the past that I have a stiff gaze, which is a symptom of Aspergers Syndrome, but I'm not sure what they mean. What is the difference between a stiff gaze and a regular gaze?

Sorry, I cannot offer any explanation, but I can say that I appreciate your confusion. It sounds very odd. I have not got a clue what a stiff gaze is, or why it would be given that description.

I am not sure if this is it, but staring where you cannot take your eyes away? So perhaps a fixed gaze. Unless they are saying that your gaze looks unfriendly.

I have never had anyone say that to me. I have had my husband suddenly say: Hey Suzanne, are you in the room? And it is a hard task to drag my eyes away!

I think it could mean staring at something without having any focus because your mind is elsewhere.

I often find such metaphors difficult to understand too, especially ones describing feelings and sensations. One I often hear is "heartburn" - what's that? or one's chest feeling tight, what is a tight chest? I have a very literal interpretation of things sometimes.
