Sensitive Topic What do you think about those who want to "cure" us?

You know what, I don't seek a cure. I just want the same legal protections afforded people with physical handicaps.
Ah, it took me a moment but, now I get it.
Legally you should have those protections, not because you're necessarily handicapped, but because you can be discriminated against.

Well you can't "cure" us, maybe there will be better treatments in childhood and eventually prenatal screening but there is no curing us already here. I think the idea of prenatal screening for ASD to be unethical and immoral but it's probably inevitable.
I'm with you on the dangers of prenatal screening.

I'm not sick, so I don't need a cure.
I'm not broken, so I don't need to be fixed.
I simply desire to accepted for who I am. If anyone has a problem accepting my autism then they're then one who has a problem not me, and perhaps they're then ones who need fixing.
