im a country boy, lonely as hell 24/7. don't talk to many people. I don't think ill ever find a girlfriend and Im starting to think I am going to die single. (im 18 but don't have many friends and the ones I do aren't getting me anywhere)

I am depressed and I don't feel like any girl will ever like me, or they will just dump me for a cooler guy at any moment, and I have low self esteem.

Lots of girls like city boys but lots of girls like country boys too. Nothing wrong with being from the country. I personally can't stand the city and so I live in the country. Someday I'd like to have a house truly in the middle of nowhere.

18 is young. You've got a lot of life ahead of you, lots of opportunities, lots of times to make choices or change your mind for better ones. I was in my early 20s before I even got a date at all. Hang in there.

Go to college even if its a Community College. That will get you out of the country and into an environment for meeting other younger people your age for friends if nothing else. Taking a class or two won't be too expensive and it will give you a chance to "find yourself" without making any big commitments. Doing well in your classes will help boost confidence too. Try not to take up any smoking or boozing as that can be a big turnoff if you want to find someone of substance. By doing things to "find yourself" you can also be "checking out the playing field" and possibly kill two birds with one stone!

Love country boys! I married a self-proclaimed "sophisticated country boy". Loves to fish, ride ATVs, and enjoy a day in the fresh air. Can't beat that. =)
