What are Your Tips For Writing A Book On Autism?

I can only offer very general advice.
1.) Decide who your book will be aimed at. e.g for autistic/non-autistic people.
2.) Decide if your book will be about autism in general or if it will focus on a specific aspect of autism.
3.) Decide on the "voice" of your book. What I mean by "voice" is will you be writing a book that is about your experience of having autism (so almost biographical with stories from your life) or will it be like a textbook. Also, decide if you will be using quotes/anecdotes from other people.
4.) Decide roughly how long you want your book to be and how many chapters you will include.
5.) Be prepared to write many drafts of the book until you are happy with it. Most books go through many changes.
6.) Allow people to read through your work. But, make sure they are people who will be able to offer constructive criticism and be supportive of your project.
7.) If you're doing research then keep a list of all the resources you have used.
8.) Remember that writing books is very difficult, so there may be times when you feel angry and frustrated. During these times take a break and go back to it when you feel better.
9.) Look up writing tips online. I only write fanfiction as a hobby, but there will be professional writers online who will have posted more helpful tips than this list.
 
I would imagine your start point would be what your aims were / what you wanted to achieve by writing your book and who your target audience would be ? Put up more details and I am sure more people can help you .

I'm not sure I guess a general way about how I view autism and symptoms and stuff about discrimination. And also solutions for treating autistic people

Do you have some category ideas? Were any suggestions on what to write in the book in general?
 
There are lots of asperger's related fiction and non fiction books out there covering lots of subjects which are personal to the authors, a blog would be a good place to practice writing while reading some books which are listed on this site. Wordpress.com is somewhere you could put your thoughts and experiences out there if you want people to read them ? My favourite books are true crime naturally your subjects need to be based on your experiences unless you want to write fiction.
 
I suggest just sart writting. If you change your mind as you go, save the document and start over and before you know it you will have a pile of ideas on paper to go thru. Then you can share the ideas with us or skip the critics and do what makes you happy.
 
I belong to a forum for people with prosopagnosia--we are "face blind" and have great difficulty recognizing faces. Most of us can recognize only very close family members whom we see on a daily basis. The forum is very relaxed and many members felt comfortable about shearing other things that made them different from the general public. Quite a few gays began to talk about their lives. One woman felt free to explain that she is faceblind, autistic, manages to live alone and holds an office job at a university. She is quite intelligent and has written at least 2 books about autistic people and self-published them. Google "Jane Myerding". I recall her first book was titled "Mapping Charlie" and I was really impressed with her ability to write entertaining fiction and include how people with autism and prosopagnosia struggle with every day life. I just Googled her name and looked her up on Google and there is a fair amount of information there. If you can't find out how to reach her let me know and I will try to find that information. I am certain she will discuss with you how she went about writing and publishing a book about Autism and Prosopagnosia. Because of my interaction with Autistic people on the Faceblind forum I finally realized I had AS. Good luck.

What you think it's an issue affecting you alone is not, include it that's valuable. Don't look just for general traits.
