Waterfall hunt in London

I find now that I am watching more full lenght nature docuemntaries full lenght that feature a lot of water as well.

I watched the entire Danube documentary again from the Great Rivers documentary and it was moving. I also added Untamed Planet to my watchlist as well.

BBC Two - Earth's Great Rivers II - Available now

Eden: Untamed Planet

I looked around for geography online courses on waterfalls and around it but found nothing but a few informative articles.
Waterfall
Waterfalls - RGS
Waterfalls - Formation of erosional and depositional features in river landscapes - Higher Geography Revision - BBC Bitesize
Waterfalls, plunge pools and potholes - Rivers: Video playlist - BBC Bitesize

There are also a few parks in London where I haven't visted due to some the waterfalls not being active but hopefully will be restored. Here just one is Battersea Park cascade. I really hope this switches on fairly soon and I would really like to see it. There is some discussion about waterlow park and i've been informed they have cascade just that it is not working properly. Others have burn on a back burner project load for a while to look into.

Dear Rachel
Thank you for contacting the Friends of Battersea Park.
There has been publicity recently about the Victorian Cascades in Battersea Park because the National Lottery Heritage Fund has provided a grant to Wandsworth Council for the first stage of a restoration project. The waterfall has not worked for many years. It will take several years from now before it works again.
Battersea Park is lovely, so it is still well worth a visit!
Best wishes

Friends of Battersea Park Trustee
I have been informed the above, sad to hear that it will not be months away. Still I know of another project potentially in restoration. Still trying to turn up some waterfalls near someone I know in Yorkshire pretty much.

Christine McGuiness who is also diagnosed with autism seems to have found out about a likness for waterfalls recently. She has spoken about her sensory struggles.

I found it on Facebook

I saw someone ele's experiences visiting waterfalls on their website after I was near completion with my own Youtube waterfall hunt trial and uploading videos to Youtube. The website belongs to a designer and they are very creative. They wrote a blog on visting London waterfalls in parks and designed a map for it. I will upload what they created and include the link to their blog post on their website of their experiences of visiting the waterfalls in London Parks. Since they did this a few waterfalls were created in London Parks such Elephant Springs.

The map didn't catch Elephant Springs, Hammersmith City Park, Peckham Rye Park, Beckton District Park. They also never added Morden Park-Watermeads Nature reserve. They also never added Chiswick House and Gardens waterfall. The Rockery gardens in Streatham was not done either, there a few more not added also. Walpole Park someone may be disappointed if they went to visit and Highlands Gardens, well seeing is believing lol. I have never been very good with maps to read or design myself.
You can read their original post here-
Map of Waterfalls in London Parks

Of all those not listed I will add is Watermeads and that is one I enjoyed visiting as well. My birthday is just next month as well now.

I found this DVD on Amazon on waterfalls which I bought. It has individual waterfalls which were good and it has a category for ambient music waterfalls. The dvd was really cheap and it is better than nothing and I do find some of it soothing. It is less than £2 and it seems to be one of a kind on dvd.

Learning up about the details of it more, I think I like multi layered waterfalls the best-ones where I can sit next to the water by the side.

I emailed the person who created the maps above and they said they will try and update with the additional waterfalls in London parks and gardens.

I am going to Lourdes pretty soon and I need to find the nearest waterfall to Lourdes.
