AUTISM campaigner Kevin Healey has been blocked on Twitter by Sun columnist Katie Hopkins.

Mr Healey organised a petition so far signed by around 1,500 people, calling for Ms Hopkins to apologise to the Autism community.

Ms Hopkins sparked outrage and was branded a 'vile bully' by actress Denise Welch, after she called Ed Miliband a high achiever, 'for one so clearly on the spectrum', referring to the autism spectrum.

Now Ms Hopkins has herself been upset by Mr Healey's repeated calls for her to apologise, after she was accused of 'belittling' people with autism. She has now blocked him from viewing her Twitter posts.

Commenting on Twitter, Mr Healey, of Newcastle, said: "Katie Hopkins has now blocked me on social media TWITTER because over 1,100 have demanded her to apologise to the Autism community will she??"
