Valentine Day plans?

It's Saturday, so we can have a full day for ourselves! Me and boyfriend were planning to just chill at home, order some food or cook something together. It will be raining, so we can't have a walk, but we can play tabletop games and watch movies/series. Maybe we will craft something.

I almost finished making a themed present for him, it will be a mix of hand-made things and some bought ones :)

This will be a special Valentine's Day for my partner and I, since we're getting married in 17 days :)

We have some gifts, cards, and flowers for each other, and we're probably going to have dinner at a restaurant, and spend the rest of the day/evening taking it easy at home. Probably go for a long walk together like we do every day (weather depending.)

We're not going to do anything extravagant, we enjoy each other's company no matter what we're doing.
He really is my best friend in the whole world. Every day with him is special, even if all we do is go to work, watch TV, and cook dinner. I know we don't need a special day to say "I love you" to each other, but it's nice to do something a little bit extra for your spouse sometimes.

That's wonderful, I am happy for you both! Hopefully the weather will be gentle for your wedding as well!
How long are you together?

Yeah, in my opinion it is the best when partner is also a best friend. That's how me and my SO started, we both just were searching for friends and nothing else, he even thought he was aroace heh
And totally can echo your opinion about every day being cozy and meaningful with the loved one, but still nice to have some special events like this... I need excuses to give him gifts :D

At this rate, I'll be spending it at the hospital. I don't celebrate Valentine's day, but if that turns out to be the exact day that my daughter is born, I'm going to celebrate every Valentine's day :D

Honestly, I have never been in a relationship during valentines, and never wanted to do a 1st date on the day so I have never actually done anything for Valentines day. Other than perhaps spoil the fun reminding people of the bloody death of St. Valentine. I have a warped sense of humor.

I know growing up I hated the day in school as it was always a reminder that I was different as I always was among the folks getting the fewest valentines from classmates. And those typically were from kids of parents who made them do one for each of their classmates. Honestly I think that practice in schools at least should be banned.

Thank you! :)

We've been together for a few years now. We got engaged in August.

I thought I was aroace too, for a while... I also thought I didn't like men... we learn so much about ourselves later on in life, it seems.

I'm glad you also have a partner who is your best friend. It's the best feeling :)
And it's always nice to have an excuse to give gifts!
