Upcoming games you are excited about

As someone was saying on another forum, RE has become unscary because they keep using the same characters.

One of the reasons RE7 is like the old horror games is because an ordinary guy shows up and gets into a whole world of trouble. The STARS and BSAA people, etc, are way too prepared for bioweapons, that the games and films are just explosive, fast paced and cheesy. They've basically battled zombies and bigger creatures for years. But it's always creepy when you try new things, with a different character, if it involves a feeling of isolation.

Of course, RE always seems to pivot back to action anyway. LOL. Because RE7 has DLC where an old man related to one of the possessed family members, can do powerbomb attacks on mould monsters, occupying a swamp. And Chris Redfield has a chapter to himself where he fights them too.

The one storyline I long for Capcom to get back to is the one about Natalia being controlled by Alex. I could see her being the new antagonist of the series if they allow it to happen. But with all these remakes, Hollywood movies and stuff, they always quietly move on and leave many things unresolved. And that's because they tend to focus on the same characters in loosely connected storylines that don't add up. So a lot of things is forgotten about.

I found out tonight that there is an indie game based around the band Voivod that is in development. As a longtime fan of the band, I'll wait to see what it's like when it eventually comes out, but judging on the trailer alone, it looks like a total Voivod nerdgasm.

This horror game called Post Trauma came out recently. I meant to see if it is on the PS store. LOL.

I also look forward to Silent Hill f. Although I kind of feel like Konami has started cheating and basing storylines outwith the actual Silent Hill. So this means they can experiment with different types of games, by making out something scary has occurred in Japan, or another region.

While some people may find that move interesting, as it can offer new gameplay styles, I just wonder what the series will be like years from now if fans start to feel the shift is too major.

The new Z-A Legends (Team Chikorita)
The Tamagotchi game for the Switch
Story Of Seasons Grand Bazaar
Kirby Air Riders (Switch 2)

Not a "new" game but I love how they are putting Soul Calibur 2 on the Switch 2
