Train ride

First train ride in two years. I only realised this as I got on the train[emoji1] I'm seeing my sister for the first time in four years!
It's not the most pleasant experience.
Not awful as I have my bags on seat next to me. Problem is that lots of people have sat on it. With their germs and flatulence. I suppose sometimes we keep our faces calm and bear it.
It helps that I just found the aspie app!
And I'm trying not to bite my cuticles(is that correct spelling?)
I stopped biting them for 4 years. Don't want to start again. It makes my fingers smell unpleasant. Then I can't help biting and smelling(aaaargh!) Anyway feel better getting that out of just my head. Ahhh. Shoulders relaxing. Half hour to go.
I hope everybody's journey goes well today, even it's only through your own mind.
Peace

Glad you could vent! I really dislike riding on germ ridden public transportation, but sometimes it is necessary. Hope your trip goes well, too!

It was ok in the end. I ended up having a beer.
It was really nice to vent and not be called ridiculous or silly. It's not that hard to imagine all the germs crawling about!
It ended well and that's what counts. Great to see my sister:)

I'm glad that your visit went well! One thing I have learned to think when encountering a situation laden with other people's germs, is to make sure I don't touch my face after handling doorknobs, handles of any kind, (like flush handles on public toilets) and such. I always wash my hands as soon as I can, and if I have to touch my face I use the back of my hand and not the palm and fingers (the public side of our hands.) Another thing to bear in mind is that our skin, unless broken or cut, as well as our clothing, will protect us from most germs.

Ha. Yeah I try to unlock door before I wash my hands then try to use my knees or feet to open doors. I know it's not really ok to use my feet, but I have seen how many people wash their hands after going to toilet... not a lot. And that compounds the problem on the handles etc If the door has a "door closer" I try to use that as it stops me having to touch the handle. If you push the door closer to one side the door opens enough so you can reach the other side at the top of the door.
The skin certainly is an awesome organ.
