Thread message spacing

I would like to remove spacing between messages when viewing threads. It looks to be time-based, long time between messages is a longer gap, shorter time is a shorter gap. I'm sure it must be a display option on my account somewhere but I can't find it. I just want to see posts one after the other without scrolling, like on a typical forum.

Oh. That's what the "Pay" button is for. Okay.
