I'll go first:

I have been practicing Zen meditation for 4 years. It is now time in my training for my first Zazenkai, which is an intense, formal all-day sit. I must enter the Zendo, adhere to formality, and join my Sangha for sitting meditation from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Lunch is an hour, but there's no speaking, it is traditional. This form of meditation being done all day with experienced practitioners is profoundly powerful. I am eager to stretch my "practicing muscles." Some of the sitting is broken up by formal periods of walking Zen meditation but, there is no stimming, no sensory breaks. I'm very stimmy. I'm also going through a period of dysregulation.
This will be highly challenging.
I am ready.

I'm going to draw a picture of two wolves playing with each other.

I don't have a lot of skill or experience in drawing. It's two challenging poses, neither of which I have ever drawn before. I've committed to drawing another wolf picture every day for the month of August, and I am filling up a sheet of paper that has room for two more days' worth of drawings, if I use it correctly.
 
I sat down with my guitar last night.

It has spent years collecting dust and memories, a silent reminder of the only goal I ever failed to achieve. Time to put that right.

Mini breakthrough in leaning new PHP. Booyah. I got dis. :cool:

Always did have a bit of trouble in highschool with algebra because it was so abstract, and dare I say, ILLOGICAL. Coding feels the same way. But I'm tackling it, one command at a time.

ancusmitis, as a Wolf, I will take the bold move and request you keep on drawing us. By the time you are an, PC ALERT, "advanced age disadvantaged", wolves will be extinct, and be seen stuffed in a museum diorama near you in the "Extinct Animals (we most loved and can only remember) Room. Do you have any interest in conserving wolves?
By the way what is the script/ writing in your avatar, if you care to share. I do not recognize it.

I am a wolf myself, so of course I want there to still be wolves! *howls*

The script is one I made up. It's for writing Latin in: http://fav.me/d8zllob
I'm also making up a language for it, but I am not sure exactly what I want to do about vocabulary. It will be Latin-based. Right now, all I have is a set of endings for nouns.
