A few times I've been to a local (what I'd best call) hip hop church that meets once a month... This discussion won't be about religion, just for the record...

The first two or three times I went I felt like an outsider, people didn't pay much attention to me, I've gotten to know the organizers so was brave enough to bring my camera last night...

That alone seemed to open up conversation with a few other people, perhaps it made me less anonymous to people, and I'm no hip hop artist or dancer... Wearing my cowboy hat of course, why not... :p

Hey Sherlock, give us an update on your lady friend, what happened?

Doing better lately, I just have a feeling she had a tough February into parts of March, good communication has been restored, still have to determine where it's really at, in due time...

What is a hip hop church? Sounds fascinating!

I'm sure they exist in other cities... This one starts out with everyone forming a cypher circle (anyone into hip hop knows what I'm talking about), and they just dance and rap for awhile, perhaps some spoken word stuff... Then there are some feature artists who share some of their faith story, rappers, spoken word artists, etc... And then it's over until next month... It is a church
