The end may be near for Willie Nelson

Willie was a trailblazer in more ways than music. He openly smoked marijuana at a time when the penalties for possessing and using it were extremely harsh, and he was likely the first celebrity and "influencer" (as they're called nowadays) to publicly advocate for the legalization of cannabis. He has also been an anti-tobacco advocate for decades, pointing out the negative consequences of tobacco use, up to and including cancer, using his own family as an example. "Hell, cigarettes killed half my family, but weed ain't never hurt nobody." History has proved Willie right on both counts. Willie was born in December 1931-and he's still performing! Some have quipped that Willie may be onto something with his use of weed.

Something about his voice and story telling songs always made me feel comfortable.
Relaxed and down to Earth.
