Amazing! Back when I was doing 25-mile hikes in a day, on hilly terrain in the Pickney Recreation Area near Hell, MI, I would get into a near trance-like state, concentrating on my breathing, taking 8 strides to each inhale and exhale cycle. I'd end the hike barely tired.

And this at a time when tired of my loneliness, I started working myself. Those hikes helped me a great deal. I felt alive for the first time since . . . . . . . . . . forever.
