Temporary Loss Of Vision and Balance

Has this ever happened to anyone when they've gotten out of bed??? I just happened to me this morning! I got up, my vision suddenly faded, and I fell back before regaining my vision This has happened a few times in my life, but it has been happening a bit recently. I think the last time before this was about maybe a few days ago. I don't remember.. Is this a medical problem? Does it have anything to do with autism as well?

Yes, it could be a medical problem. Not likely to have anything to do with autism.

Such recurring symptoms can be indicative of any number of medical conditions that warrant you seeing a doctor so you can rule out more serious considerations.

Sounds like a headrush to me. If your blood pressure is low and you stand up too fast, the blood rushes from your head until your heart adjusts to your standing position.

I once knew someone who had an increase of such symptoms to a point where he could no longer stand up for any period of time. Having been diagnosed by four doctors to no avail, a fifth one diagnosed him with a potassium imbalance and in a matter of days he was back at work.

Though as I posted initially, such symptoms can be potentially be indicative of any number of conditions.

Yes, that often happens to me when I stand up suddenly. It helps to bend over when it happens, to get the blood back to the head. It's normal, it happens to everyone at some point, but if it happens very often, you should see a doctor.

If you have not made your doctor's appointment yet, please do so. And if you want to, let us know when it is or how it works out.

Fear and denial can protect us but they can also kill us. It is better to have an official name or diagnosis for this than not to. And treatment is preferable to just sort of waiting it out.

Take care of yourself so you can stay here and hang out with us.

If you feel awkward about visiting the doc for this, tell them "my friend China made me do it." That's what I do when I go to the doc but am not really sure my symptoms warrant such a visit.
