When I was a teen, they were my favourite group. I bought their greatest hits CD and then the DVD that had the sun logo on it.

In the video, the singer Curt Smith was not supposed to even be driving. He was suspended. So that call you see him making from the payphone was to ask for help, genuinely. I heard about this on the VH1 Classic pop up video trivia.

Their 90's stuff without Curt Smith was still quite good. I'm glad Roland and Curt eventually made up. They're still making music together, and they were one of the best acts during the new wave period of the early 80s, along with Duran Duran.

I know the first few albums and like them. I used to have old CDs of the first two, made in Germany, which were great, sonically.

I always wondered if "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was inspired by the song "Charlie Don't Surf" by The Clash. The melodies are different, but they have a similar feel. At one point, Mick Jones (I think) says the phrase, "Everybody wants to rule the world."
