I did experiment making wheels though more experimentation needed.

Slowly working out sizes... Getting the footplate ready to fit the chassis. Chassis was tested and it does work.

Now if I shorten things I can make the loco be something like this...

It all depends what it looks like on a shortened chassis and if everything will fit.

Well. Test fitting the cab and the chassis all is well. The cab is balancing on the footplate and the footplate is balancing on the chassis to check they fit.

Thank you for the Images , my friend asks what materials you use for contruction of the cab and boiler cover.? When I share the Picture . Remarking about the rivet details on the side of the cab. Looks as if it is coming along quite well.

The cab and bonnet (Hood) are made from resin. Came from someone's loco kits they decided to use bits for to make other locos? I rescued them as I can still use them.
The white parts are what we call plasticard which you might know as styrene. I had to rebuild part of the lower rear of the cab so it is now the right length.

The chassis is a rescued Hornby chassis which has been shortened.
The photograph shows how much shorter it is compared to a standard length Hornby chassis above it.
