Still not heard back from any jobs I applied to recently

Above.

Applied to 3 jobs lately and not heard from any of them, although for at least 2 of them I was forced to declare my disability and y'all know my feelings on that score.

Should I just give up and accept a life on benefits?

Nothing unusual in that mate. Employers not bothering to write/email/phone back is far from unusual, in fact it seems to be the norm these days. I've heard of people who only get a reply from maybe 1 in 20 that they apply for. If paid employment is what you want, you've just got to keep plugging at it and expect plenty of disappointment until you hit paydirt.

No, don't give up @Mr Allen. There were plenty of times when I wanted to throw in the towel but I am really and truly glad that I did not. Something will materialize. Job hunting is always a numbers game and the more hooks that you have in the water, the better your chances of landing something.

When my dad was unemployed, he had to apply to many jobs before finally getting something. He didn't have Asperger's and did have experience, but it still was really hard for him.
