Songs from Childhood

This was my fave TV show - Polka Dot Door

They had a different theme day every day of the week.

I remember Imagination Day, Animal Day, ..... uh, drawing a blank.

Animal Day was best.

I was terrified of the inanimate objects coming alive - like Jimmy the Flute, and the live trees.

The witch wasn't scary at all in comparison.

We had the "Free to Be...You and Me" album by Marlo Thomas and Friends when I was a child and I liked quite a few of the songs on it. I still do.

I posted this song in another thread of another topic, but it fits here, too.

This may deviate from the topic of this thread, but this other song from the album wasn't as appealing to me at first. It had a bit of an edge, and the breakdown sounded weird to me. But in time I got to like it better. Now it's one of my all time favorites.

There are probably lots of other songs I can add to this thread.

What songs did you really like as a kid - a young kid up until your mid-teens?

Good, embarrassing, and SUPER embarrassing songs are welcomed and encouraged. Feel free to share any stories and anecdotes from childhood related to the songs you post. :)

I used to listen to some stupid songs that everyone else hated but I loved.
I used to see Brittney Spears and Christina Agulria on video hits
Stupid 90s cartoon theme songs
People liked blink 192 and foo fighters
And in the early 2000s there were emos who listened to my chemical romance and panic! At the disco
