Some "Special Kids"

I HATE it when people say that, because we are all different and experience things in often a different way and thus, it is all relative.

It also deminishes ones own fights going on and as it did with you, makes one feel guilty and that is added on to an already large load.

I stumbled across some videos by this fellow when looking for something about AS. I sat here for a couple hours watching quite a few. There are some with folks that have autism, others with challenges I have never heard of. After watching, I was almost ashamed at myself thinking I had a problem or even a right to complain. I would encourage you to check out what he has uploaded thus far. The people in the videos are heroes:

Special Books by Special Kids

I have watched many of these.
Callie, Rowdy, the schizophrenic young woman, so many that
right now I don't recall the names.

The interviewer is devoted to being positive.
The "kids" are amazing.

It's true that other people do have greater difficulties than I do, but that doesn't make my difficulties any less valid.

I don't believe this thread was made with the intention of
diminishing anyone's life struggle. I think, as I have previously
viewed many of the Special Books videos, this thread was
made with the intention of instilling a gratitude for what
strengths and abilities each person has.

That would be a lot like law enforcement saying "since murder is a more serious crime, we won't worry about robbery cases".

I like the videos, because watching them from time to time actually makes me feel good about the days when I get something accomplished despite difficulties. It might not be as hard as it is for some others, but some things are hard and when I get them done it is a small victory.

No, because I said that my problems aren't any less valid, while your statement says that you don't need to worry about them at all.
